I, M. I. Jobali joined this college as a lecturer in sociology in 1992. The department of sociology has been doing well since the beginning of this college in 1991. Among all other optional choices, Sociology has been the first priority of the students. The department conducts quiz’s and other such competitive oral tests periodically. Special guest-speakers are called upon to deliver special addresses on the vital issues. Library books are supplied for an intensive study of the subject. Regular tests are conducted besides the routine monthly, quarterly, midterm and predatory examinations.
Objectives of the department
- Prepare the students to face the competitive and academic exams efficiently.
- Increase the students overall study performance.
- Prepare them to face practical problems in the life.
- Try to make them to have overall development.
- To Prepare them in understanding social problems orientating to skills and techniques in working with people .
- To prepare foundation for desk orientated jobs in the fields of social welfare and to provide strong base for postgraduate in Sociology.
